2021 saw Tyler, The Creator and Converse go back to the drawing board to create another show-stopping take on the Chuck 70 silhouette. The result? A refreshing take on his signature Chuck 70 Flames on a neutral canvas with hits of neon pink.
Tyler, The Creator’s irreverent style was fully captured in this collab, with the mixture of blue accents and neon colouring that created an exciting contrast, helped to reintroduce a beloved classic to wearers in a transformative yet highly stylistic way.




The return of the Comme des Garçons saw the fan-favourite heart and eyes logo transformed through a new selection of seasonal colourways.
Our Chuck 70 and Jack Purcell sneakers were taken on a journey of reimagination through a bold twist. The Chuck 70 featured new colourways in Steel Grey and Blue Quartz while the Jack Purcell highlighted the brand's signature heart in black and red styles on top of a grey sneaker.
Converse X DRKSHDW TURBODRK
Creative boldness and liberty saw the classic Chuck 70 reimagined into a whole new look. The Converse X TURBODRK by fashion iconoclast Rick Owens, emphasised, distorted and exaggerated the lines, shape and image of one of our most beloved classics, to break away from convention and tradition, challenging the image of the Converse Chuck 70.
The squared toe combined with exaggerated tongue subverted the original design, celebrating the distortion and change of perspective. This bold reinvention of the Chuck 70 took our limited-edition range by storm, totally changing the creative collaboration game. 2021 was only the beginning of the Converse X DRKSHDW partnership.




Detailed and original, our collab with Carhartt WIP saw the Chuck 70 take on a new form and brand-new look. The vibrant ‘Hinterland’ canvas design saw our iconic collab on full display.
With a large focus on nature, the ‘Hinterland’ canvas emphasised the Chuck 70 craftmanship. Combined with custom detailing and bright green colouring, the limited edition collab highlighted the style versatility of our ongoing partnership with Carhart WIP.




Converse X Keith Haring
For the first time, 2021 saw the iconic Keith Haring drawings find a new home on our Converse canvas. With a huge selection of sneakers involved in the collab, including the Converse Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, Pro Leather and the style enhancing Run Star Hike.
Each drawing took us on a journey of self-discovery that does more than break barriers, but transcends time, inviting the creativity, grit, optimisation of the past to influence the decisions of tomorrow. Haring’s distinctive pop-art style mixed with our iconic sneakers took our breaths away as each sneaker took on a new form of reimagined style and meaning.




Converse X Space Jam: A New Legacy
The Converse X Space Jam: A New Legacy saw 90s nostalgia brought back for this collab built on back of action fun and the looniest designs imaginable.
With the whole Tune Squad back in action and the famed LeBron James also joining in on the act, our Space Jam limited edition collab saw iconic Converse sneakers take on bright, bold animation style colourings.
Combined with the basketball heritage detailing, our Space Jam: A New Legacy collab brought back the magic of the Loony Tunes era, with a new twist.




Converse X Feng Chen Wang
2021 saw our collab with prolific Chinese designer Feng Chen Wang take on a new form, with the designer’s infamous 2-in-1 Chuck being crafted in a new leather upper that mirrored cracked concrete.
This unique limited-edition collection saw the imitation of two Chucks merged into one, the collision of vivid graphic on leather creating the illusion of a sneaker being sealed by concrete – as if reborn from the rubble. Bold and courageous, the 2021 Converse X Feng Chen Wang collab did not hold back, and we loved it!
