Converse Star Series

The Converse Star Series is here! A conceptual sneaker capsule featuring two silhouettes, the Star Series BB and the Star Series RN.

Built for those inspired by the court, the Star Series BB is an intentionally sleek, minimalist statement sneaker, well suited for the streets of any city.

On the other foot, the Star Series RN presents a minimalist and versatile lifestyle runner combining form and function of the sport with style for those who want to maximise their day.

Fresh from a recent re-introduction to performance Basketball with the launch of the All Star Pro BB, the latest concept – Star Series continues to push into new dimensions across sport, music and fashion.

For the Star Series, Converse enlisted athlete and architect turned Nike Inc. design legend—Tinker Hatfield, who has previously collaborated with Converse on the design of sneakers such as the All Star Modern HTM and Auckland Modern Low Top HTM, to name a few.

Like many Converse collaborators, the Chuck Taylor All Star was Tinker’s first vehicle for self-expression, wearing the black low-top and white high-top throughout his childhood, both on and off the basketball court.

As Converse continues to re-emerge in basketball, there was a desire to incorporate elements of the performance DNA, but create something unexpected and versatile for every day wear on the streets.

Designed to deliver exceptional comfort, the Star Series BB and Star Series RN will launch in two classic colorways and feature a Converse Star Chevron on the upper, with hints of reflectivity throughout.

Star Series BB and RN will be available from 10:00am on Tuesday 28 May on converse.com.au.
