ATSAT Crews – Savannah Pride
All The Stories Are True. Not only on your own, but together.
In fact, often the stories are even better when there is a friend or two along for the ride. Crews around the world remind us of that when we are independent enough not to follow and be true to ourselves.
No matter where you come from or what your interests are; you are never alone.
Savannah Pride is a basketball community based in New South Wales, Australia that is dedicated to inspiring and mentoring South-Sudanese migrant and refugee youths.
Like the Savannah Tree, basketball helps develop the deep roots and strong branches that will support them both on the court and off the court in life.
As they say, it’s just fun and good vibes.
“We are not doing it alone. Savannah Pride is here to help us improve, teach us the sport. We are all in this together.”
The youth of Savannah Pride are inspired through sport, education and community. The program helps to develop their self-esteem and life skills, while providing structure through growth based on education and sport. New beginnings and new leaders are being created each day.
They have developed a community that has been warmly welcomed by all involved as well as by the wider Western Sydney region where its home is based.
“Savannah Pride is like a second family. We trust each other, come to have fun, play basketball, have a good day.”
They are not alone, they are all connected with each other. Go outside. Find your crew.
Savannah Pride are shown in new Chuck 70 Blocked Camo Sneakers and new ERX 260 Sneakers – informed by culture and made for self-expression.
